I saw her there in the moonlight
small vivacious and fair,
smiling impishly at me
as pale light danced in her hair.
She pirouetted so lightly
with arms above her head,
body language so eloquent
love was the message I read.
Invitation so natural
a twinkle was lit in her eye,
that fleeting instant of ecstasy
took a lifetime to go by.
